Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

Finally, some Christmas pics! my computer was being testy with not wanting yo upload from my camera!YUGH! Anyway, here we go. My mantle is decorated with scales this yr. I didn't use lighting up there, and I do miss it. But wanted to mix it up a bit this yr.
My deck porch area has some of Santa's wet dripping clothes a drying there! Along with a note from a little one named Taylor who HAS been a good girl!

A little candy cane.

More Santa underwear!

This is my curbside find this summer. Brought it home and painted it black.

Love my trees in the wooden ice cream buckets. I leave these up most of the winter!

For the past several yrs. I have used two pencil trees and decorated them together. It leaves alittle more rm. in the living rm.

Some goodies I made and had left from last season that I took to school and sold most everything!

I loved my BELIEVE blocks I made. Wish I'd saved one for myself!

Here are a few signs I made, those went quickly, too! Well, it's a cold evening, I want to get dinner over with, I have had my eye out for a few new pillow samplers to make and I want to get started on them. Happy Holidays!

Neewollah Celebration

I got lots of pics girls. We are celebrating our annual Neewollah Celebration this week. Halloween spelled backwards. Go to Neewollah .com for great info on it! In a town of about 10-12,000 we experience a crowd of over 75,000 for our week of fun! My daughter was selected to be a Neelah Deb 2010 which is a chosen 8 sophomore girls who preform the duties of serving the Senior Queen Candidates at many events during the week. This photo is the finally to the Coronation of the crowning of Queen Neelah the 69th this past Tues. evening at our Memorial Hall. the 8 Senior guys are also chosen by a committee as the escorts for the Queens and Debs that week. My daughter Taylor is the one on the right of the escorts shoulder. My cousins son Peyton Botts in the escort on the left holding Whitley the best friend of my daughter.
This is the beginning of the Neelah Deb high kick course line. The play this yr. was The Music Man and their costumes were a Soldier Kick line.

Here is Taylor presenting the 1st Runner up her trophy.

And here is my beautiful niece Chelsea Dawn Mundy taking her walk down the runway. She was Candidate #1! All Neewollah Queen candidates must be a senior in our high school. Isn't she just stunning!!!!
After the crowning of our new Queen all Candidates,Escorts and Debs and their escorts are invited to the Country Club for a Grand Ball. It last until 1am. ( and yes, the poor kids have to attend school the next day) This is Taylor and her boyfriend Sid as they were getting ready to leave for the Ball. Don't they just look perfect together!!

These are the balloons and flowers she received on congratulating her on her performances.

She served many Pop parties, a Tea and a Brunch as her role as a Neelah Deb. This is the sweater dress she wore to the Tea.

I was on a committee to help decorate for the Brunch held one day this week for the Queen candidates and judges. It was held at our local Masonic Lodge and we had a Shabby Chic theme going. I brought in along with several other ladies some of our fall decors and we had so much fun putting this all together. I made a couple Neewollah signs for the occasion. This was inside the entryway coming in the door.

A black chalkboard greeting the ladies at the brunch table with a menu sign and pictures of fall pumpkins.
This is the breakfast brunch table scape.
The place settings for each of the Queen Candidates, note my nieces name here!! Inside the little bag was a charm to add to each of the candidates charm bracelet. They received a different charm at each event held in their honor.

Love this sign my talented cousin Kathy printed up. It sits next to a picket with a witch on a bicycle.

Isn't she cute for a witch!!!
We had many settings around the room and this is one of my old wagons filled with pumpkins and one of my Hayride signs.

Love this old wooden wagon, it belongs to another lady that helped decorate.

Love this. This old helmet and football belongs to my cousin Jed, who played on the IHS Bulldog team not so many yrs. ago. It made a nice touch on one of the window seals!

Another setting with some great foliage and am loving the old Jon Deere tracker touch, good idea Kathy!! Well it was fun decorating with you girls and I look forward to doing it again next yr. We are having a fun week. No school the rest of the week YEA! We have a big football game tonight and then on to the carnival rides and corn dogs! Had a great pulled pork last night. Sid and Taylor shared nachos and a fried Milky way. Yuck! They said it was good! The food vendors just line both sides of our downtown streets for about 4 blocks. We have 4 blocks of big carnival rides, a huge bandstand set up in the middle of downtown for all the street acts and everyone brings their lawn chairs. It's a great great time. Lots of people come home for Neewollah that have moved away. It's just a good time to catchup and see old friends!~

Hay, it's Fall here!

I had been doing some tweaking to some of my fall settings. I bought a bale of hay from Walmart, I won't do that again. I got it home and most of it was moldy inside. It had gotten wet.

But I added some here on my porch.

A little close up. I had made a 'Hayride sign to sell and I liked it so much I just kept it for myself!

Now this wasn't my idea, I saw a smaller version of this on Faded Prairie. A great blog I have ran across. She has cool ideas!! Anyway, I thought oh I could do that to one of my ladders in the tree. I added some hay and a few mini pumpkins and I have gotten many comments from guest coming in the drive.
Here is a little metal pump I picked up at a tag sale a few weeks ago. And I added some pumpkins to my sink on the porch! We worked on putting some pegboard on the walls of the garden shed today, before it started poring buckets of rain. I headed for the house. Mike finished up and Sid, my daughters boyfriend brought over his 4-wheeler for Mike to look at. It hasn't been running and they tinkered around out in the garage for awhile. Taylor is at dance practice and will be home in about a half hr. I threw together some Hillbilly Spaghetti Pie. I found a new recipe for from another blog this week. Ill let you know if its any good!! Have a great week ladies!!

100 Mile Tag Sale!

Well first of all I'd like to thank each and everyone of you ladies for remembering my daughter and her boyfriend Sid in your prayers. He's doing remarkably good tonight. Hoping to return to school one day next week. Returned to the surgeon today and had the staples removed from in chest and the skin graph is doing well. Thanks again for the prayers. God is good!
I had a many great finds last weekend at our 100 mile tag sale. Very good prices too. Got three of these darling milking cans for $1-2.

Aren't these darling? They are stove pipe tops I guess? I thought they looked like bird houses! Love the little doors. Thought they might look good in a flower garden.

I found a couple of olde bicycles. This one for $10.

The little wooden ironing board was $5. I hung it in my laundry rm. I is just the right size. The drawer, not sure if I like it or not. I grabbed it up and now I might not hang onto it. The old wash tub I bought for a friend of mine who has been looking for one.$5! And I love the old light fixture, may put it out by the pool next summer.

Got the old wagon for $8, she wanted $10. Threw in a spare wheel!

Love the old wooden folding chair. Just an unusual shape seat. And I ran out to Orschlands and bought some beautiful mums for $5.

Aren't these two lanterns neat? $2 each!! I know I couldn't believe the prices!

Another old bike for $5, it's really rough. The handle bar broke off as I was unloading it from my suburban. Mike fixed it for me with some tubing. I loved the old worn baskets. I can fill them up with fall mums and spring geraniums!!

I also got a basket of these cool flower labels. I can see some primitive labels in these for next season! Well I had a great time finding all of these treasures. It seems you find the most when you expect the least. I wasn't even going to go at all. The first yr. we had this Mike and I took off work on Fri. and went again on Sat. and didn't find much at all. This yr. was fabulous!!!! Have a great week everyone!
