Have a Holly Jolly Christmas

Finally, some Christmas pics! my computer was being testy with not wanting yo upload from my camera!YUGH! Anyway, here we go. My mantle is decorated with scales this yr. I didn't use lighting up there, and I do miss it. But wanted to mix it up a bit this yr.
My deck porch area has some of Santa's wet dripping clothes a drying there! Along with a note from a little one named Taylor who HAS been a good girl!

A little candy cane.

More Santa underwear!

This is my curbside find this summer. Brought it home and painted it black.

Love my trees in the wooden ice cream buckets. I leave these up most of the winter!

For the past several yrs. I have used two pencil trees and decorated them together. It leaves alittle more rm. in the living rm.

Some goodies I made and had left from last season that I took to school and sold most everything!

I loved my BELIEVE blocks I made. Wish I'd saved one for myself!

Here are a few signs I made, those went quickly, too! Well, it's a cold evening, I want to get dinner over with, I have had my eye out for a few new pillow samplers to make and I want to get started on them. Happy Holidays!

Jingle Bells Jingle Bells

Well we are off for Christmas break, two wks! I had made a list of things I wanted to accomplish and I have started on it. Yea! One of the things was to switch out my pie safe for all the odds and ends I had in it to include mainly my old zinc lid jar collection. Ok I had the TV on Hoarders that show that features all the people that collect uncontrollably. I told my husband if I come home with another old jar just to shoot me!

This is not even all of them but I want to save the lower shelf for a collection of old tins I have started. I filled them with staples i had in the cupboard.

I have purchased a few new gentlemen for my many trees I have this yr. I seem to have mostly the Honey and ME collection. I just love them.

I found a local restaurant that had many of them for sale. This little gal has cute decorations and her house is darling.

They will live happily on my trees!!

I stuck a few in some garland I have on the coffee table along with a flame less pillar candle I discovered at Hobby Lobby.

This cute little pail I found at a flea market on sale for $7. I added a to and from prim tag to it for the holidays!

and I splurged for this old child skate board for $25. I didn't want to pay that much but I know I could use it under the tree and all yr really. I love the old rust wheels.

Added a new picture of Taylor to the fireplace.

The Hoosier cabinet in the kitchen I added some new garland.

My main goal for the day after is some new garland. I see many of you ladies have the real thing gracing your tables and cabinets. I don't have the luxury of running out my backdoor and clipping some from a pine tree much here in Kansas. So I am on the look out for some realistic greenery this Dec. 26th.

This little tree sits in a cheese box on my kitchen window sill with a couple of old enamelware lids.

More greenery on the entry table.

And surprise I must have added another few pics of the pie safe. Well I think today I will get my sweet potato pie ready for the oven. The turkey is defrosting in the fridge. I'll wait on the two cheese cakes and the salads. Everyone is coming here for Christmas dinner. May you all have a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year with yours.

Christmas Time Is Here...

The inside of my house is somewhat mostly done. The outside still looks fallish. The sweet potato pie is in the oven, the cherry cheese cakes are chilling in the fridge and the salad is ready. This tree in the living rm has a old black hat theme. Lots of snowmen with the tall black hat topping the tree.
This grouping is to the right of our fireplace. I love to display in my collection of ice cream freezers. Some wooden candy canes drape this tree along with the candy striped snowman.

On top of the dresser in the living rm sits the snowman with a prim lantern. He sits on an old makeover stool

Thanks for the hints on the old tin taper lantern I had been looking to purchase. I found a place that still had them and I got it in the mail. Now I almost wish I had ordered two!

These couple of lazy guys sit to the left of the fireplace on another makeover stool and I just love them! A couple of sampled pillows cozied up in an old crock, next to some dried sunflowers.

I tried a pair of Santa's long johns on the front door this yr. I will have another pair in the laundry rm. but I kind of like this.

Some greenery and lights nestled up onto of the TV cabinet along with some Kansas sunflowers in a jar, a few wire baskets and a wooden house. It looks so pretty at night all light up.

This tree is in the dining room/entry way. It has a stocking full of goodies at the base of the old crate.

Many of my trees have these small coffee tags dangling from the branches. I enjoyed making them and thinking of different wintery saying to put on them.

Love them!

My old ladder is full of some of my graniteware I collect. Old Santa is here to greet anyone at the door. I placed an old screen behind the ladder and I love little trees in any crock. I wrapped some old rusty wire around the mouth of the crock to give it a prim look.

This tree is in a large crock outside my laundry rm in the kitchen. Just decorated with some old coffee stained muslin and tags. Well I need to get around and head over to my parents house here soon to help Mom. Have a safe and Happy Thanksgiving! God love all of us that WILL be out there tomorrow shopping! Yea!
